Foxconn is denying reports that its CEO Terry Gou confirmed any plans for the much rumored Apple television set. The China Daily reported last week that during a speech at the start of building Foxconn’s new headquarters, Gou revealed that the company had already begun preparations for Apple’s iTV.

Apple’s new iOS 5.1.1 may only have been available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users for a few hours, but already there’s a jailbreak solution for installing unofficial apps, as long as you have the right device. The iPhone Dev Team’s MuscleNerd has confirmed that those with devices not based on the Apple A5 chipset – which means the iPad 2 and new iPad, as long as the iPhone 4S – can use the previously released redsn0w jailbreaking tool.

Sony has released the PlayStation Suite Developer Program open beta, as promised, enabling coders to create games for the PS Vita, PlayStation-certified phones and tablets, and more. Available for PC only, the PlayStation Suite SDK 0.98 includes the PC Suite Studio and UI Composer for creating interfaces that take advantage of physical and touchscreen controls, as well as a simulator for testing out your handiwork.
