The next level powerhouse in workhorse Ultrabook has been revealed by Lenovo as being the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, complete with the claim that it is indeed “the world’s lightest 14-inch professional Ultrabook.” This Ultrabook “exceeds Ultrabook specifications” as Lenovo says with its premium Carbon Fiber roll cage enclosure and full package weighing in at 3 pounds. This notebook has a 14-inch display which works with Vibrant Hi-Resolution technology, it being 1600 x 900 pixel resolution with a thin bezel and 300 nit brightness. The keyboard is Lenovo’s latest setup with backlighting as well, so get prepped for a premium experience.

We’ve been expecting a lot out of Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors. The parts are starting to show up in computers that should be hitting the market soon. Lenovo will be offering notebook computers using the Ivy Bridge processor and the photograph of one of those new notebooks has turned up online. Lenovo has an altered book and the tablet coming up that will be using Ivy Bridge.

Intel’s been hard at work with their mobile processors, more specifically the latest version with Medfield. While ARM-based processors have dominated the mobile market, Intel plans to change all that, possibly as soon as this week. During Intel’s financial results call this afternoon, that we reported on here, CEO Paul Otellini told investors Intel’s first Medfield phone will launch by the end of the week.

Intel has demoed a tablet running Android 4.0 ICS and powered by the Intel’s 1.5GHz Atom Midfield CPU at CES 2012. The tablet is known as Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 which is a pre-production unit from Lenovo.
