According to the NASA research, this area has had an increase in land surface temperature over the last nine years that researchers are connecting to local effects of the turbines. NASA release a temperature analysis for 2011, which shows that last year was among the ten warmest years since 1880, when the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York began keeping record of global temperatures.
