The new iPad continues to roll out across the globe, with Apple announcing another round of countries that will have a chance to see that gorgeous Retina display. A total of 30 countries will be added to the roster on May 11th and 12th, including Brazil, Egypt, and Vietnam. It comes after Apple’s latest tablet was rolled out across 21 additional counties from April 20th, and a little under two months since the original release in Europe and the United States.

Earlier this year MMi reader Brian3dee commented that the iPad 2s with an improved 32nm A5 processor would run cooler and have “slightly better battery life.”

AndandTech put the slightly upgraded $399 iPad 2s through the battery test gamut and found the unit to be superior to the original iPad 2 and the new iPad in every aspect. The upgraded iPad 2 saw an 15% increase in battery life over the original iPad 2 in the web browsing battery life test lasting 11.7 hours. The original iPad 2 lasted 10.1 hours and the new iPad only lasted 9.28 hours.

So far, most of the complaints on the new iPad that we have talked about have centered on how hot the tablet gets. There are some other issues though with some new iPad owners having a problem with Wi-Fi on the tablets. An internal AppleCare document has surfaced that shows Apple is investigating Wi-Fi issues that are affecting the new iPad.

This is what you would call an overwhelming majority.
According to the findings of the latest ChangeWave Research survey, not a single survey participant said they were «very unsatisfied» with their new iPad purchase. Only 2% claimed to be «somewhat satisfied.» What about the remaining 98% you ask. They are all satisfied, with 82% saying they are «very satisfied.»

Apple also started pre-orders on its online store for the new iPad over a week before it showed up in stores. By contrast, the first iPad, released in 2010, took 28 days to reach the one million unit sales mark.
