It looks like the latest version of Apple's iPad is already a huge sales success. The company announced today that it has sold three million units since the new iPad went on sale in retail stores on Friday. Apple also started pre-orders on its online store for the new iPad over a week before it showed up in stores. By contrast, the first iPad, released in 2010, took 28 days to reach the one million unit sales mark.
